Died in the Huddersfield War Hospital on 9th January 1918. Aged 36.

Buried in St. John's Church Graveyard, Golcar. A North West. 79.

Frederick's father was a tailor but had died by 1901.

His pay as a 1st Class Mechanic in the RFC would have been 4 shillings a day. Probate of his will was granted in London to his widow Ann on 14th April 1918, the effects were £121.10s.6d.
