Died of wounds 29th April 1917. Aged 33.

Buried at Aubigny Communal Cemetery. Plot 2, Row G. Grave 82.

John's mother received official news that her son had died from wounds at No. 30 Casualty Clearing Station. He went to France six weeks before his death. He had been in business as a greengrocer in Golcar and was therefore well known.

Administration of his will to Elizabeth Sykes.

His name appears on the Roll of Honour at St. John's Church, Golcar.
