Died on 15th September 1918. Aged 19.

Joe died as a prisoner of war at Frelon.

 

The village of Glageon in France is 3km west of Trelon and 56km east of Cambrai. It was in German occupation during practically the whole of the war. The cemetery is on the outskirts of town and the extension holds 287 graves.

 

Joe's name appears on the Roll of Honour in St. John's Church, Golcar and in Golcar Baptist Church.
