His name appears on the Roll of Honour at Scapegoat Hill Baptist Chapel.
The village of Sains-les-Marquion lies in the main road from Arras to Cambrai.
The Cemetery was begun in September 1918 after the capture of the village by the Canadian Division. It originally contained 144 soldiers from Canada and 10 soldiers and sailors from the UK. It was enlarged after the Armistice by concentration of graves from battlefields, including 9 British Prisoners of War. There are now 257 graves.
