Embarked for France: New Year's Day 1917.

Killed in action: 5th June 1917. Aged 21.

Commemorated on the Arras Memorial to the Missing. Bay 2 and 3.

Edmund was educated at Crow Lane Board School, Milnsbridge. He attended St. Michael's Mission where he was a Sunday School teacher and member of the choir. His name appears on the Roll of Honour in St. Mark's Church Longwood, St. John's Church Golcar and Crow Lane Board School, Milnsbridge.
