Enlisted on 27th March 1917.
Died Sunday 4th November 1917. Aged 18.

Frank was killed in a flying accident in Lincolnshire. He had begun as a private and had gone through his cadet course, obtaining his commission in July. He had been home on a short leave the Sunday before his death. He was buried with full military honours.
Frank was educated at Crow Lane Board School and Dr. Haslam's School in Harrogate. He was a member of Salendine Nook Baptist Chapel, his name appears on their Roll of Honour and also at Golcar Church.
