Killed in action 11th February 1917. Aged 23.
Commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial. Pier and Face 11Cand 12A.
This memorial is to the Missing of the Somme and bears the names of 72,194 officers and men of the United Kingdom and South Africa who died in the Somme sector before March 1918. Over 90% of those commemorated died between July and November 1916.
Harry embarked for France in October 1916, and was killed in February the following Year. He has no known grave. His name also appears on the Roll of Honour in St. John's Church Golcar.
