The cemetery is 7.5km west of leper (Ypres) town centre on the road to Poperinge, and was begun in April 1918 during the Battle of Lys. It was named after a nearby stores dump, and was used by fighting units and field ambulances until the following October. It was enlarged after the Armistice when more than 200 graves were brought from the battlefields of the Ypres Salient. It contains 437 Commonwealth graves, 139 of which are unidentified.
Ted's name appears on the Roll of Honour in St. John's Church, Golcar and Golcar Baptist Church.
